Back to work

60%

of employees would like to work flexibly going forwards.

70%

of office workers believe poor IAQ has a negative impact on their day-to-day productivity.

44%

of workers are concerned about office cleanliness.

It has never been more important for companies to maintain a clean, safe and smart working environment for their employees.

The Metrikus platform is here to provide a cost-effective solution, empowering employers and employees with the data they need to make informed decisions and create the optimal working environment.

1. Occupancy monitoring

As and when employees return to work, one key challenge will be ensuring that employees are able to social distance effectively. Certain spaces like lunch areas are likely to become overcrowded at specific times, and managing a more flexible working schedule is not necessarily an easy task.

By displaying real-time occupancy data, our platform lets you understand and control how your space is being used. We can show you how many people are on each floor or in certain areas, and you can even see which specific desks are occupied or vacant. This can be used to direct employees to underutilised floors or empty desks, ensuring compliance with social distancing regulations.

It’s easy to analyse the flow of utilisation over the course of the day to identify peak hours where social distancing may be most at risk, and you can set up alerts to manage the flow of staff in the safest way possible. Occupancy patterns that emerge over time can give you real insight into usage trends across your office, and show you how much space you really need going forwards.

2. Indoor air quality monitoring

Studies have shown the link between poor IAQ and the transmission of airborne viruses like COVID-19, as well as how long they can survive in the air. Poor IAQ and insufficient ventilation can also lead to Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) symptoms, while high levels of CO2 can impair employee productivity and cognitive function.

We install sensors to monitor key factors including temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide (CO2), total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) and particulate matter (PM2.5). And more importantly our platform shows what these values should be, and how the current values could be impacting your employees.

Smart alerts notify you when IAQ factors deviate from their optimal zone, so that steps can be taken to maintain a safe and healthy indoor environment at all times.

3. Smart cleaning

Cleaning tends to be scheduled whether a space has been used or not, and spaces are often left unclean until the next cleaning cycle, which is a cause for concern when it comes to potential viral transmission. Manual schedules are not always filled in accurately, if at all, which can make it difficult to track which areas have been cleaned.

We can make things a whole lot easier by installing sensors that can track cleaning frequencies, and alert you when cleaning is needed. You can identify the areas that tend to be used most frequently and at what specific times. And this allows you to create a schedule that’s more flexible, responsive and effective. We give you all the data you need to enable you to clean smarter, not harder.
